What Project will you be working on?

This has to remain disclosed at this point - But let's just say that you will be working on extremely exciting, and kick-ass projects, and you will be the driving factor when it comes to planning, building, or even improving that project! One thing is for sure: You will be the backbone of our suite of awesome products (TREVO, SoCar), our team has one mission: To bring SOCAR’s vision of car-sharing to the next level.

Think of us like Spotify, or NetFlix of the car sharing industry, yes! We are really that cool, and yes we are working very hard to establish our own rules, and guides to industry standards when it comes to development, and tech space!

What are your responsibilities in this role?

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growth team of extremely talented, and incredibly smart people, you will be responsible for managing micro-services, API’s, and web applications.

You will be tasked to lead some of the projects from start to ground up, all the way to serve millions of users across SEA.

You will also need to take ownership of some of the products and maintain them from time to time, so a mid-level understanding of data flow from frontend to backend is essential.

What will you be engaged in?

  1. Developing and testing new web applications using a variety of technologies and frameworks, that impact millions of users on a daily basis.
  2. Authoring and evaluating code to ensure that it meets industry standards and is compatible with various browsers, devices, and/or operating systems.
  3. Determining user needs based on technical requirements.
  4. Creating and maintaining well-written documentation.
  5. Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
  6. Be a part of an extremely talented team to drive new features, and pioneer new Tech trends, and practices.

What technical requirements should you have to join SoCar?

  1. First and foremost, you like to be challenged, you need to be proactive and have a hands-on attitude
  2. You have strong knowledge of popular front-end JavaScript libraries such as React and/or Vue (1-3 years minimum).
  3. You have experience developing server-side applications with Node.js (1-3 years minimum)
  4. You have strong knowledge and ability to design/maintain responsive pixel perfect web apps (2-3 years minimum)
  5. Knowledge of WebPack and Babel is a huge plus
  6. Knowledge of Database management systems (SQL, PostgresQL, MongoDB)
  7. You’re experienced with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or other relevant cloud computing technologies (optional)
  8. Good understanding of REST’ful API’s
