This has to remain disclosed at this point - One thing is for sure: You will be the gearwheel for SOCAR’s brand new, highly classified task force “Growth Team”. The Growth Team has one mission: To build an evolutionary business vertical for SEA that brings SOCAR’s vision of car-sharing to the next level.

What will you be engaged in?
As our new Creative & Content Writer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing manager and ideation designer to develop content pillars out of existing brand pillars.

  • Observe and identify consumer behaviours, new market trends, and insights that can be incorporated into brand messages writing.
  • Pitch and reinvent content pillars and write creative content ideas based on trends and insights.
  • Establish and maintain all-around writing tone and style across medium based on brand personality and direction given.
  • Write creative contents in different styles that are adaptable for all online and offline mediums employed, including website, blog, social media, ad copies, and publications.
  • Develop and constantly adapt the creative tone of voice in brand responses to social media communities based on the latest trend.
  • Conduct A/B testing on content to achieve the desired objective of the content/campaign.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan, develop and deliver a fresh and vibrant editorial calendar.
  • Collaborate with ideation designer and product designers to enhance existing marketing channels to develop more visually aesthetic content

Are you the ideal candidate?
First and foremost ask yourself: Are you customer-obsessed? This is SOCAR’s prime value that drives our mission forward. If your heart and mind shout “YES, I am!”, you have just identified a fundamental match between you and your future SOCAR team.

  • 1-3 years of experience in copywriting, community management, or social media management.
  • Possess knowledge of product marketing, user/audience behaviour of popular online and offline media channels, including yet not limited to social media, blog, brochure, press release, and editorial.
  • Able to understand the ways user/audience responds to content in each level of the purchasing journey or sales funnel
  • Able to creatively narrate and convey product benefits to users/audiences on various channels and in different formats, eg. text, content in video.
  • Able to work and communicate within a team structure while able to work independently.
  • Curious about the impact of creative content on users' purchasing behaviour, and passionate in finding the right content to trigger the desired action.
  • Possess excellent English writing skill, ability to write in Malay or/and Mandarin is a bonus.
  • Possess degree in Marketing, PR, Mass Communications, Psychology or related field.
